Derek Copeland - Principal at MCM Partners and Philanthropy Advocate

An accomplished leader in finance and investment, Derek Copeland serves as the Principal at MCM Partners, where he helps to manage daily operations, oversees Investor Relations, and conducts due diligence for new commercial real estate investments as well as existing projects. Known for his commitment to uncorrelated asset strategies, Derek Copeland works with a robust network of accredited investors, with with the majority of investors engaging in multiple investments through MCM Partners.

Before MCM, Mr. Copeland founded SilverRock Wealth Partners, an independent wealth advisory firm focused on personalized financial and investment strategies. He has also held positions at Morgan Stanley and UBS, where he managed client portfolios and led a team in delivering tailored financial solutions. His background also spans finance and technology consulting, with roles at Blackbird Holdings and Accenture that honed his data-driven approach to client solutions.

Outside of work, Mr. Copeland remains dedicated to philanthropy. In 2014, he set a fundraising record as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Man of the Year in Charlotte, NC. He serves on the board of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Foundation and previously contributed to the Steve Smith Family Foundation.
